Intellectual Freedom and Censorship

The library supports and uphold the principles represented in the American Library Association’s Code of Ethics, and we have a special obligation to ensure the free flow of information and ideas to present and future generations. The Noel Memorial Library staff are members of a profession explicitly committed to intellectual freedom and the freedom of access to information

 

Additionally, all users of university computing resources must adhere to the university’s ITS policy, which prohibits users from accessing and transmitting anything that can be reasonably construed as harassment or disparagement based on race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or religion or to access, send, receive, or solicit sexually oriented messages or images or any other communication prohibited by law or other University directive.
