Narrowing or Re-doing Searches in Pilot Search.
In order to narrow your search results to the most relevant items, you can use the options on the left-hand side of the screen. These allow you to select source types, subjects, dates of publication, and other relevant qualities in the resources you are looking for.
Occassionally, Pilot Search will not update your search results when these options are changed or when you attempt a new search from the search results screen. This issue occurs most often when using Google Chrome. We usually recommend using another browser, like Firefox, when searching library databases.
However, this issue is easily resolved.
- Close Pilot Search or navigate away from the database.
- Make sure your browser is up to date.
- Clear all cookies and cache in your browser.
- Re-open Pilot Search and try your search again. It should be working correctly now.
